Practices to Promote Transparency of Organizational Diversity and Inclusion

MIDBEST BANCOMPANY is committed to creating and maintaining a positive work environment that values individual similarities and differences, so that all can reach their potential and maximize their contribution to our bank, customers and communities served. Our commitment includes making the following information available to the public annually on www.online-midbest.com/bank.

The communities served by MidBest Bank are the homes of our leadership team, officers, employees, and retirees. We give more than a million dollars each year to over 300 non-profit organizations and their projects. Beyond the dollars, volunteerism isn’t just expected of the bank's employees, it is required.

Among the many non-profit agencies and initiatives that support diversity and inclusion, the bank's outreach efforts include continuous communication that our employees aren't just volunteers, they are leaders. Community volunteerism provides additional leadership training and networking opportunities. To promote transparency, MidBest Bank welcomes review of the bank's Community Reinvestment Act initiatives.

MidBest Bank ensures equal employment opportunities for all employees and applicants for employment and does not engage in unlawful employment discrimination based on gender, race, or ethnicity. This policy applies throughout MIDBEST BANCOMPANY and each of its subsidiaries. We undertake that standards to assess MidBest Bank's workforce profile and employment practices, which partially include, using EEO-1 and Affirmative Action data as well as other metrics to hold management accountable for diverse applicant pools when hiring internally and externally.

Additionally, MidBest Bank believes that diversity efforts must account for industry specific considerations including labor market data and ongoing efforts to facilitate and promote diversity and inclusion throughout our workforce. To that end, MidBest Bank offers tuition reimbursement, internships, training and development opportunities, officer status recognition, posting job opportunities, encouragement to volunteer to attain valuable leadership experience, succession planning including executive appraisal and social and recreational programs administered without regard to gender, race or ethnicity.
